Please check this article about customizing auto-format feature in MS Word 2007:

In short:

1. Press MS Office Button (round button with logo)
2. Press Word options button
3. Select Proofing section
4. Press AutoCorrect Options button
5. Select Autoformat tab
6. Uncheck "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks" option.

How do you deactivate auto hyperlink creation in Office 2007? I'm re-asking this question because I never got the answer I needed the first time around. I know how to remove a hyperlink by right-clicking on it. But how do I make it so the hyperlinks don't auto-create in the first place? I know on previous versions of Office you could do it from the tools menu but I can't find that option in the 2007 version. Thanks

Thanks for the update on the multiple screenshot per topic enhancement. Sorry it won't be available for a while but glad to hear it's still on the list (please let me know if I can beta test it for you). For now I'm structuring the content to link to other sub-pages instead when I need more than one screenshot in the documentation of a process flow for the user. It won't be as helpful for the user in PDF format as it could be but it should suffice for now.

You're right about the J2EE application capture working fine. I switched from Chrome to IE and it is working great to identify all elements now. Really fantastic.

The ability to design my own callout themes and have those so dynamically handled by the application is the best feature of all. Hi Dennis,

There are 2 aspects to this:

1) Where would the actual custom title page would reside in the project?

2) Where would the user indicate that they wanted a custom title page?

In answer to point 1 - I currently use the project root node of the document structure tree view to contain this custom title page.

In answer to point 2 - I would have thought the best place for the indicator (probably a check box), whould be in the Project Settings page as that is where the current settings for "Title Page"(s) reside, under each of the different export formats.

As per my previous postings, the main problem at the moment is that if I use the project root node for my custom title page, I can't have a contents page where I want it! If I choose to replace the auto title page with my own AND have a contents page - the contents page ALWAYS appears either BEFORE my custom title page or right at the end of the document.

Please try the following to reset all dialog positions:
1. Run regedit.exe from command line
2. Delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Indigo Byte Systems\Dr.Explain\Positions branch.

I must change a lot of screenshots at every new version of our application.
And every time I use the wrong screen resolution.
A Nice warning message "the old screenshot is xxx yyy pixel, the new one is zzz, kkk pixel" will be a help. An more efficient help will be if there are a warining message in the capture tool

Very nice idea
There is an older request from me with a similar issue but from a different point of view: in my case, the same screenshot has more o less functions depending on the user rights, actually I'm doing every page twice.
The big problem it not doing the double work once or having a bigger help, but repeating the things at every new version of the application.

We understand that it's not easy way to manage styles while editing text in Dr.Explain, and we're already working on this issue. At this very moment two developers are discussing the current state of work on this issue. I hope it will be available soon, and it will definitely be much more easier to change styles and font properties in Editor.

Hello, Kevin.

There is an internal bug in HTML Help Compiler, which sometimes doesn't recognize multiline titles and shows the topic as "untitled" in "Contents" panel in CHM. You can avoid this by removing line breaks in titles in GUI.

I assume that the "Dr.Explain" in the title was typed explicitly to create this? You really need to permit the use of Variables in titles, page names, and everywhere else. Thank you!

PDF output needs way to avoid widows and orphans

The generated PDF output does not offer much to avoid "widow" and "orphan" lines, as this is sometimes called in word processing apps.

For example, a header and the following text mightbe:

A Really Cool Feature

You can also made use of another really cool feature in this program: you can save files.

In generating the PDF, Dr Explain may separate the header ("A Really Cool Feature") from its text! The header winds up at the bottom of the page, and the headerless text starts the next page. At thevery least, Dr Explain should not have a widowed header (that is, a text line using h1 or h2) at the bottom of a page.

Worse yet, Dr Explain may break a table right in the middle of a row! For example, a cell in a table may wrap into several lines. If this is at the bottom of a page, this may be broken over the page boundary.
