CHM export settings
 
The dialog allows you to setup the appearance of the output HTML pages in the CHM file. It is similar to the HTML Export settings dialog. Click the Project Options button in the application toolbar to customize the appearance of the current project. Press the "Options\Global Settings ..." item in the application menu to set the global style. This will be applied by default to all newly created projects.

Language  Encoding

Select the target language of the CHM file. This option will affect the encoding of HTML pages.

Default topic

2. Default topic
Use this field to specify the default topic file name initially shown when the CHM is opened.

Work folder

3. Work folder
This folder is used as a temporary location for intermediate HTML and graphics files. By default, it is created in the Windows temporary folder.

Image subfolder

Use this field to specify a subfolder for image files.
Example: if your HTML files are placed in the /help/ folder and you want to keep all image files in /help/img folder, specify img in this field.

Keep temporary files

5. Keep temporary~files
Check this box to keep temporary files (HTML, pictures, HHC, HHK, ...) when the export routine completes.

Color theme

6. Color themeUse this to select and apply one of the predefined color themes to the output HTML files. You can create your own color theme by using the buttons near the theme list.

Custom CSS

Check this option to specify your own CSS file to customize the appearance of HTML pages: fonts, colors, sizes, etc.

Index page

Check this option to create the index.htm page in your CHM file. By default this page is named Title until you rename it in Text strings.

Check this option to create a topic page for the root node of your project tree.

Setup  HTML Template  & Layout

Use this button to customize the page header, footer, and navigation elements. Use it also to insert your logo, global web site menu, scripts, copyright notices, and corporate graphics.

Pop-up tooltips

11. Pop-up tooltips
This option is one of the advanced features available with the Advanced License.
 
This option enables pop-up tooltips that are displayed when the mouse cursor points to the bullet on a screenshot. The tooltips can include the associated control description so the user is not required to scroll down the page to read it.

The section allows setting up the CHM viewer window position and dimensions.

Actions

13. ActionsPress this button to apply the default application settings to the current project or to import the same settings from the HTML export settings.
