When you launch Dr.Explain, the startup dialog presents a choice to create a new blank project, import an existing document, or open a recently modified one.

 

All projects are stored in the .GUI files associated with Dr.Explain. Double-click your project file in file manager to open it in Dr.Explain for editing.

 

You can also invoke the New command from the File menu, toolbar button, or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+N. Begin adding new topics and window screenshot pages to the project.

 

When the project is complete, you can export it to HTML Help (CHM), RTF, or Online Help (HTML files).
