Capture Window dialog: Win32 settings

Capture Window dialog: Win32 settings

The Win32 settings pane of the Capture Window dialog allows setting options for pop up menu capturing.

1 . Child sub-menus auto-capturingChild sub-menus auto-capturing

Child sub-menus auto-capturing

This option is one of the advanced features available with Advanced License.

This feature is helpful when you need to capture and to document a lot of menus and their submenus. Turning this option on allows you to capture only a top level menu and Dr.Explain will automatically parse and capture all its subsidiaries menus itself, and will add them to the project tree. The structure of the sub menus will be represented in the project tree as well.

This feature saves much time!

Note: This feature works only with standard Win32 menus. Test it first.

2 . Menu bar auto-capturingMenu bar auto-capturing

Check this option to capture a window's menu bar along with the window itself. The screenshot of the menu bar will be inserted into the project as a separate topic page. That page will be a subtopic of the captured window's page.

3 . Number of parent menus to captureNumber of parent menus to capture

Number of parent menus to capture

If you are capturing a pop up menu this drop down allows you to specify how many levels of parent menus must be drawn on the screenshot.

This is helpful if you wish to demonstrate how to locate the current pop up menu. Its parent menus will be drawn in a fade out manner.

Note: This feature works only with standard Win32 menus. Test it first.
