Help ID management

Help ID management

The dialog allows you to specify context sensitive help options for your CHM files. Click Project Options button in the application toolbar to customize the settings of the current project. Also you may press "Options\Global Settings ..." item in the application menu to set the global style. It will be applied to all newly created projects by default.

 

 

1 . Help ID in CHMHelp ID in CHM

Help ID in CHM

Check this option to embed HepID support into CHM file.

 

2 . Map file creationMap file creation

Map file creation

Enable this option to create external map file in the same directory with CHM file.

The content of map file depends on its extension:

.h - C++ code will be generated

.vb - VB code will be generated

.inc - Object Pascal code will be generated

You may include then this file in your software development project.

 

3 . Auto-assign of aliasesAuto-assign of aliases

Auto-assign of aliases

This option allows auto-assigning of aliases and Help ID for pages where they aren't set directly.

 

4 . Make prefix optionMake prefix option

Make prefix option

Use this option and the text field to set the prefix string for auto-generated aliases.

 

5 . Character case transformationCharacter case transformation

Character case transformation

Use this dropdown to define how to change the case of strings that are used in composed alias names.

 

6 . Assign Help ID toolAssign Help ID tool

Assign Help ID tool

This button launches the Assign Help ID tool.

 

7 . Remove Help ID toolRemove Help ID tool

Remove Help ID tool

This button launches Remove Help ID tool.

 

8 . OK buttonOK button

OK button

Press the button to accept changes and close the dialog.

 

9 . Topic alias templateTopic alias template

Topic alias template

Use this dropdown to select a template for page's alias auto-generating.

 

10 . Control alias templateControl alias template

Control alias template

Use this dropdown to select the template for control's alias auto-generating.

 

 

11 . Import Help ID toolImport Help ID tool

The button launches Import Help ID tool.

 

12 . Export Help ID toolExport Help ID tool

Export Help ID tool

The button launches Export Help ID tool.

 

13 . Apply Global Style buttonApply Global Style button

Apply Global Style button

Press the button to apply the default application settings to the current project.

 

14 . Help buttonHelp button

Help button

Press the button to read the help on this window.

 

15 . Cancel buttonCancel button

Cancel button

Press the button to discard the changes and close the dialog.
