Dr.Explain's website and interface are now available in German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Dutch and Sweden
October 20, 2010 - Indigo Byte Systems announces Dr.Explain 4.1, an important upgrade to its state-of-the-art documentation authoring tool which is now also available in 8 languages: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Sweden, Russian, and Dutch. Now, users can read the information on the website and use the program in their native language. Also, new to version 4.1 are over 15 features and improvements of performance and usability. The new version is available as a free trial from www.drexplain.com.
"With version 4.1, Dr.Explain takes an important step forward in product accessibility on local markets," says Dennis Zhuravlev, CEO of Indigo Byte Systems. "Over the past two years, we have seen steadfast enthusiasm for Dr.Explain on European markets and in Latin America with exponential user growth month by month. This success inspired us to translate the product and website to 8 new languages in addition to English. We believe localization will result in increased user satisfaction and even faster adoption rate in Europe and Latin America."
In addition to localization, the latest product version brings over 15 new features and improvements. For example, user can import existing CHM, HLP, RTF and HTML files to Dr.Explain and keep on creating and updating documentation with ease and comfort in the modern help authoring environment. Version 4.1 also includes optimized graphical algorithms that produce PNG image files of a smaller size without losing on quality. This allows making the size of an output help file by up to two times smaller than was possible with previous versions. The newest version also enhances the print output experience with improved PDF Export performance.
Dr.Explain brings software documentation to a new level. With automatic capture and annotation capabilities, users can handle the most difficult and time-consuming part of the documenting process in minutes. The built-in capture tool takes screenshots of any part of the application, finds all important GUI components and produces numbered callouts for each of them. User only types a descriptive text to the automatically generated annotations and documentation is ready. From a single source file, it is possible to export to CHM Help file, HTML pages, RTF, or PDF. Other key features in Dr.Explain include integration of context-sensitive help directly into an application, creation of table of contents, creation of keyword indexes, templates and CSS support.
