Detaching a shared project from server

Sometimes when you're working with a shared project, you might need or want to convert it to a local one. For example, if you installed a trial version of Dr.Explain, created a shared project on Tiwri.com cloud service to see how it works and didn't purchase a Business license within 7 days. Once you try to edit such project after the week has passed, you might get an error "An Ultima license is required to edit this project."

To convert a shared project into a local one, open the project and go to menu Collaboration -> Detach this project copy from the server.

Detaching means that the project file will be permanently disconnected from the server and will become a local project. You will not be able to view its changes history, send changes you made to or retrieve the latest updates from the server. All future changes will be made to the local file.

You can later upload this local file to Tiwri.com cloud service or to Dr.Explain Collaboration Server, but this newly uploaded project won't be "merged" or "attached" to the old shared project (the one you detached from). It will become a new project and if you want other users to switch to this newly uploaded one, you need to share the project to them and ask them to checkout it from the server.
