Inserting anchor

 
If you need to insert a link to a specific place in a topic, you can insert an anchor and then add a link to that anchor. When a user clicks that link, the topic will open and scroll down to the position of the anchor. When you inserting an anchor, a special object appears in the editor. For example, anchor with name "anch3" in the editor looks like this:
 
 
To insert an anchor use one of the ways described below:
  • click button in the editor toolbar;
  • click arrow down icon next to button in the editor toolbar and select the Anchor... menu item;
  • use Ctrl+Shift+F5 keyboard shortcut.

Anchor name

Specify the anchor name here. To insert a link to this anchor, start inserting a link, then in the Insert link dialog select the topic from the topic tree under Internal link, and after that select anchor from that topic at the bottom of the Insert link dialog.
 
We recommend using combination of letters, digits, and an underscore character for anchor names.

Press this button to to accept the changes and insert an anchor.

Press the button to close the dialog and to discard the changes.
 
To edit the anchor name, double-click the anchor in the editor or right-click it and select Anchor Properties... from the context menu:
