Inserting variables

 
Variables are named placeholders for data. Instead of typing the same value multiple times, create a variable, set its text, and insert this variable instead of that text throughout the manual. During export Dr.Explain will automatically substitute variables with their values.
 
To insert a variable, click button in the editor toolbar or use Ctrl+Shift+R keyboard shortcut. Dr.Explain will display a dialog where you can select a variable to insert from a list of variables of the current project:
